REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms and conditions under which InvoiceTide ("we", "us", or "our") processes refunds and cancellations for our services.

By purchasing our services, you agree to this policy.

2. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES

2.1 Free Trial Period
We offer a free trial period for new customers. You may cancel at any time during the trial without charge.

2.2 Subscription Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Billing occurs on the same day each billing cycle
- You will receive an email receipt for each payment
- Failed payments may result in service suspension

2.3 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

3.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time by:
- Logging into your account and going to Account Settings > Subscription

3.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect
- Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to your account until the end of the paid period
- No refund will be provided for the remaining days of your current billing period
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods

3.3 Cancellation Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation when your cancellation is processed. Please keep this for your records.

4. REFUND POLICY

4.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

4.2 Pro-Rated Refunds
We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will retain access until the end of your paid period, but no refund will be issued for unused time.

4.3 Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the 30-day money-back guarantee period (if applicable). However, you may cancel to prevent future renewals.

4.4 Exceptional Circumstances
We may provide refunds outside of our standard policy in exceptional circumstances, such as:
- Extended service outages caused by us
- Billing errors on our part
- Duplicate charges
- Fraudulent transactions

5. REFUND PROCESS

6. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

The following are non-refundable:
- Custom development work
- Setup fees
- Domain registration fees
- Third-party service fees
- Add-on features purchased separately
- Promotional or discounted subscriptions (unless otherwise stated)
- Services already rendered
- Downloadable products after download

7. CHARGEBACKS AND DISPUTES

7.1 Contact Us First
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, please contact us to resolve the issue. Most problems can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

7.2 Chargeback Consequences
If you initiate a chargeback:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- We will provide evidence to your bank to contest the chargeback
- If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent, we may pursue legal action
- You may be banned from future use of our services

8. DOWNGRADES

8.1 Plan Downgrades
You may downgrade your subscription plan at any time. The downgrade will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

8.2 Feature Access
When you downgrade:
- You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
- After downgrade, features not included in your new plan will be disabled
- Your data will be retained but may be subject to storage limits of the new plan

8.3 No Refunds for Downgrades
Downgrades do not entitle you to a refund for the difference between plans.

9. ACCOUNT TERMINATION BY US

9.1 Violation of Terms
We reserve the right to terminate your account for violations of our Terms of Service. In such cases:
- No refund will be provided
- You will lose access to your account immediately
- Your data may be deleted

9.2 Fraudulent Activity
Accounts involved in fraudulent activity will be terminated immediately without refund.

10. DATA RETENTION AFTER CANCELLATION

10.1 Data Access
After cancellation, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted.

10.2 Data Deletion
After the retention period:
- All your data will be permanently deleted
- Backups will be removed from our systems
- Data recovery will not be possible

10.3 Legal Obligations
We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial records, fraud prevention).

11. MODIFICATIONS TO PRICING

11.1 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. Price changes will:
- Be communicated at least 30 days in advance
- Not affect your current billing period
- Apply to renewals after the notice period

11.2 Grandfathered Pricing
Existing customers may be offered grandfathered pricing at our discretion.
